AccordSTAR Application Manager

AccordSTAR Application Manager gives Application administrators the ability to monitor and optimally modify the behavior of your AccordSTAR Generated distributed applications in their particular networking environment.

For example, if a server process on host A is not responding to a client request, then the client can be instructed to send that particular request to another instance of server process on host B, etc.

Application Management is accomplished by monitoring and modifying sets of runtime attribute lists of the generated applications using AccordSTAR Manager GUI. There are two types of attribute lists, a default or common attribute list which applies to all IFCs and a dedicated attribute list which applies to each IFC in the CIDL Specification.

At runtime, if an attribute value in the dedicated attribute list for a particular IFC is not set, then it will use the default attribute list.

The complete set of IFC attributes are as follows:

Above attributes can managed by ifc_get and ifc_set functions.

See instructions on how to test drive the AccordSTAR Application Manager.

Note: The AccordSTAR Application Manager GUI is in the process of being converted to Java based GUI.
